Call To Australia

Now that the world is a smaller place, thanks to the Internet, it is quite possible that you will make good friends in places that you would never have expected. You can meet people from all countries around the world and you might find that you meet people who become very important to you. I have met a few friends online who have become some of my best friends, and sadly, I cannot seem them on a daily basis because they live in Australia. Suddenly, I found myself figuring out how to place a call to Australia.

After my first call to Australia, I waited impatiently for my phone bill to arrive. Perhaps I should say that I wanted for my cable bill to arrive, because I have digital phone through my cable company. They rate they quoted me for a call to Australia was ten cents a minute. I was floored when they told me this, as that used to be what it cost me to call my parents an hour away. Even better, when I finally got my bill for that month, somehow the call to Australia that I made didn’t even show up on my bill.

The next time I placed a call to Australia I was on the phone for three hours. I know that’s insane, but I just have so much fun talking to my friend that I just can’t hang up. It’s not like we can meet for coffee when we get in a chatty mood. I dreaded the arrival of the bill, but when it came they did bill me this time, and the call to Australia was exactly what I thought it would be. There were no hidden fees for a change.

If you want to make a call to Australia and you have digital phone, don’t worry about it too much. What they tell you it will cost should jive with your bill. If you want to keep the call under a certain time, just set a timer so that you know when your time is up and you can end the call. If you don’t have a digital phone, but want to make a call to Australia, skip the phone company and buy a prepaid international card with a good rate. Just make sure you read the fine print about any connection or other fees that may be taken besides the per minute fee.
