The best way to find a great vacation package is by using the internet. There are many sites designed specifically search for the best deals on flights, hotels, and car rentals and offer them at a rebated vacation package. Here are some of the most popular sites and what each of them offers. We’ll look at the simplest website and end with the site with the most features.

Orbitz.com

Orbitz.com is a good, basic site to start with. It gives its visitors a mix-and-match choice of booking a flight, rental car, hotel room, or a mix of the three, in packages. This site, and others like it are able to give such great rates because they package the deals together, it’s kind-of like a grocery store that sell products in bulk.

All a visitor have to do is click on the home page, click on the things they want to book, type in the city they are leaving from and the one they want to go to, the dates they will stay, and how many people will be going with them. The site also gives its visitors the option of planning trips for large groups such as bachelor parties, business trips, and family reunions. As soon as they push send the site then looks through its database and pulls up the best vacation packages for the arrival city.

Expedia.com

Expedia.com is a lot like the site above. It offers package deals with a choice of hotel, rental car, and/or flight, but it also offers a free points reward program with up to $100 off the first purchase when joining, and “spotlight” deals for those looking to just getaway anywhere, cheap. These can add to the savings one can already get on a vacation package.

Travelocity.com

Travelocity is the most feature filled site for vacation packages. The site is chock full of last minute deals, weekend packages, cruise and train packages, ski deals, charity trips, and destination packages. You can either type in your information, like the other websites, or click on tabs with specific vacation packages you can browse through.

No matter which site you like best, it is important to switch up the days you want to travel to find the best vacation package deal. You may also want to see if there is a smaller airport you can fly to that would be more affordable. For example, if you wanted to fly to Dallas, Texas you could choose from two airports, DFW and Love Field. Love Field may have a cheaper package rate than DFW. All it takes is a little research.
